Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 164, § 21: Authorization necessary to transfer franchise, lease works or contract to carry on works

Section 21. A corporation subject to this chapter shall not, except as otherwise expressly provided, transfer its franchise, lease its works or contract with any person, association or corporation to carry on its works, without the authority of the general court.
