Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 165, § 1A: Adequacy of distribution system; approval

Section 1A. No corporation or company shall engage in the distribution or sale of water in the commonwealth through its pipes or mains unless written approval of the adequacy of its distribution system has first been obtained from the department, and unless proof of compliance with chapter one hundred and eleven has been furnished to the department.
