Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 220, § 12: Referee in bankruptcy; ineligibility for certain offices

Section 12. No person who holds the office of referee in bankruptcy shall at the same time hold any judicial office, except that of justice of the peace, nor the office of clerk or assistant clerk of any court, or register or assistant register of probate and insolvency.
