Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 235, § 51: Death of party; completion of service

Section 51. If either party dies after any property, real or personal, has been seized on execution, the service thereof may be completed in like manner and with like effect as if both parties were living and the officer may appoint an appraiser for the deceased party.
