Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 279, § 20: Execution of sentence of imprisonment of females sentenced to confinement at hard labor

Section 20. Subject to the preceding section, a sentence of a female convict of whatever age to confinement at hard labor shall be executed in a jail or house of correction or the Massachusetts Correctional Institution, Framingham as the court orders.
