Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 30, § 28: Books and accounts; fiscal year

Section 28. All books and accounts of all offices, departments, boards, commissions and institutions of the commonwealth shall be kept by the fiscal year established for them, respectively, by clause ninth of section seven of chapter four.
