Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 35, § 8: Traveling expenses

Section 8. The county treasurer shall be paid his actual and proper traveling expenses incurred in the transaction of county business. An itemized statement thereof shall, on the first day of each month, be certified to the commissioners, by whom it shall be audited and approved.
