Md. Code, Health Occupations § 14–203

(a) (1) The Governor shall appoint the chair of the Board.

(2) The term of office of the chair is 2 years.

(b) From among its members, the Board shall elect any officers, other than the chair, that it considers necessary.

(c) The Board shall determine:

(1) The manner of election of officers;

(2) The term of office of each officer; and

(3) The duties of each officer.
