- Article - Local Government
(a) A county may provide for the prevention, abatement, and removal of
nuisances.
(b) A county may provide for the prevention of contagious diseases in the
county.
(c) A county may regulate any place where offensive trades are conducted
or that may involve or give rise to unsanitary conditions or conditions detrimental to
health.
(d) This title does not affect:
(1) any power or duty of the Secretary of Health or the Secretary of
the Environment; or
(2) any public general law relating to health.
