Md. Code, Local Government § 12–536

(a) The County Commissioners of Garrett County may enact an ordinance

to regulate the height, size, location, and setback of an advertising sign adjacent to a

State or county road in Garrett County.

(b) An ordinance enacted under this section may not be less stringent than

any applicable State or federal law.
