Md. Code, Local Government § 17–306

(a) The State Treasurer may:

(1) contract with a qualified Maryland fiscal agent; and

(2) compensate the fiscal agent for services rendered.

(b) The fiscal agent may perform administrative and investment services

that the State Treasurer performs under this part.
