- Article - Local Government
(a) In this part the following words have the meanings indicated.
(b) “Authorizing resolution” means an administrative resolution adopted by
the legislative body of a county.
(c) “County” includes a combination of two or more counties that have
entered into an agreement under this part.
(d) (1) “Note” means an evidence of indebtedness of a county issued
under this part.
(2) “Note” includes:
(i) a bond;
(ii) commercial paper;
(iii) a refunding bond;
(iv) a refunding note; and
(v) any other obligation.
(e) “State share”, with reference to a particular county on a particular date,
means the aggregate amount of the anticipated State share of the costs of public
school construction and capital improvements under § 5–303 of the Education Article
that:
(1) has been approved by the Board of Public Works; and
(2) has not been advanced to the county.
