13 M.R.S. §2984: Conveyance of land

A conveyance of an estate as set forth in section 2983 by a minister may not be valid for longer than the minister is in the ministry; or by such deacons or other officers, for longer than they are in office, if made by them without consent of the church or by church wardens without the consent of the vestry.
