Mich. Comp. Laws § 10.127: Violation as misdemeanor; penalty; separate offenses; court action.

Sec. 7.

A person who knowingly violates this act or an order issued by the governor under this act is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00. Each day a violation continues is a separate offense.

The attorney general, at the direction of the governor or upon receipt of a request from the department of agriculture or the department of public health, or a prosecuting attorney of a county may bring an action in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent a violation of this act or an order issued pursuant to this act, or to compel a person to perform a duty imposed on the person under this act or an order issued under this act.
