Sec. 44d.

The authority may make loans to any nonprofit housing corporation, consumer housing cooperative, limited dividend housing corporation, limited dividend housing association, mobile home park association, or mobile home park corporation, or to any public body or agency for the construction or rehabilitation, and for the long-term financing, of housing projects that meet the following criteria:

The housing project provides a system of support services that promote and preserve the independent living of persons with disabilities, the elderly, or other persons at risk of institutionalization.

Social, recreational, medical, and shopping facilities are readily accessible to the residents who cannot provide their own transportation.

An affordable, daily demand actuated transportation system is integrated into the project for elderly and residents with disabilities who are unable to transport themselves.
