Mich. Comp. Laws § 18.1240: Cost plus construction contract; conditions.

Sec. 240.

A cost plus construction contract shall not be entered into unless all of the following occur:

The contract cost is less than $50,000.00.

The contract is for emergency repair or construction caused by unforeseen circumstances.

The repair or construction is necessary to protect life or property.

The contract complies with the contract requirements of the department of civil rights.
