Sec. 149.

The commission shall hold regular meetings in each of 6 months in each year, and may hold adjourned sessions as is necessary for the proper performance of the duties devolving upon the commission. The chairperson may call special sessions of the commission when the chairperson considers it advisable to do, and shall call special sessions upon the written request of 2 members.

The business which the commission may perform shall be conducted at a public meeting of the commission held in compliance with Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of 1976, being sections 15.261 to 15.275 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. Public notice of the time, date, and place of the meeting shall be given in the manner required by Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of 1976.
