Mich. Comp. Laws § 254.67: Recovery of damages; tax levy.

Sec. 17.

The damages awarded by the jury in such cause, and the expenses thereof shall be paid by such county, to be raised by a general tax to be levied and collected according to the law with reference to general taxes in such county.
