Mich. Comp. Laws § 255.1: Board of supervisors; ferries; grant of license, term.

Sec. 1.

The board of supervisors of each of the counties of this state may grant licenses for keeping ferries in their respective counties, to as many suitable persons as they may think proper, which licenses shall continue in force for a time to be specified therein by said board, not exceeding 10 years.
