Mich. Comp. Laws § 257.629b: Reduction of maximum speed limit; violation as civil infraction.

Sec. 629b.

The governor may reduce the maximum speed limit on a street, highway, or freeway pursuant to an executive order issued during a state of energy emergency as provided by law.

A person who violates a speed limit established pursuant to this section is responsible for a civil infraction.
