Mich. Comp. Laws § 257.679: Following or parking within certain distance of fire apparatus; violation as civil infraction.

Sec. 679.

The driver of a vehicle other than a vehicle on official business shall not follow any fire apparatus traveling in response to a fire alarm closer than 500 feet or driver into or park the vehicle within 500 feet where fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.

A person who violates this section is responsible for a civil infraction.
