Mich. Comp. Laws § 259.80: Operation of aircraft; airworthiness requirements; operating limitations; waiver.

Sec. 80.

A person shall not operate nor an owner knowingly permit to be operated except as provided in this chapter, an aircraft which does not meet the airworthiness requirements of the United States or a foreign country.

A person shall not operate nor shall an owner knowingly permit to be operated except as provided in this chapter an aircraft when the operation is in violation of the operating limitations of that aircraft as specified by the United States or a foreign country.

This section does not apply to aircraft operated in conformance with the terms of a waiver issued by the appropriate federal authority.
