Mich. Comp. Laws § 289.532: Enforcement of act; issuance and use of seal of quality or other logo.

Sec. 2.

The department of agriculture shall enforce this act in the same manner as the Michigan food law of 1968, Act No. 39 of the Public Acts of 1968, being sections 289.701 to 289.727 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

The department of agriculture may provide for the issuance of a seal of quality or other described logo for maple syrup meeting or exceeding the standards imposed in this act.

If the department of agriculture provides for the issuance of a seal of quality or logo for maple syrup, use of the seal of quality or logo in a manner inconsistent with the use prescribed by the department of agriculture is considered a violation of this act.
