Sec. 17.

The sale of such forfeited lands shall be held at such times and places as shall be designated in a notice containing a description of the lands so forfeited, which notice shall be published once in each week at least 4 weeks successively before the time of sale, in a newspaper printed in the county where the lands are situated if there be one, if not then in a newspaper printed in an adjoining county if there be one, and if there be none printed in an adjoining county, then in such newspaper as the commissioner shall designate.
