Mich. Comp. Laws § 324.20115a: Release or threat of release from underground storage tank system; corrective actions.

Sec. 20115a.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this part, if a release or threat of release at a facility is solely the result of a release or threat of release from an underground storage tank system regulated under part 213, the response activities implemented at the facility shall be the corrective actions required under part 213, and the requirements of section 20114 shall not apply to that release.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this part, if a release or threat of release at a facility is not solely the result of a release or threat of release from an underground storage tank system, the owner or operator of the underground storage tank system as defined in part 213 may choose to conduct corrective actions of the release from the underground storage tank system pursuant to part 213, and the requirements of section 20114 shall not apply to that release.
