Mich. Comp. Laws § 324.80124b: Great Lakes protection specialty watercraft decal; use of money received from sale; definitions.

Sec. 80124b.

Money received by the secretary of state from the sale of each Great Lakes protection specialty watercraft decal under section 80124a shall be used as follows:

$10.00 shall be retained by the secretary of state for use in creating and distributing the decal.

$25.00 shall be forwarded to the state treasurer for deposit into the Michigan Great Lakes protection fund to be used for research on aquatic nuisance species, for public education of the threat of aquatic nuisance species, and for efforts to eradicate aquatic nuisance species from the Great Lakes and other waters of the state.

As used in this section:

"Aquatic nuisance species" means that term as it is defined in section 3101.

"Michigan Great Lakes protection fund" means the Michigan Great Lakes protection fund created in section 32905.
