Sec. 21564.

Upon request of a hospital with less than 100 beds located in a nonurbanized area, the department may waive the applicability of a specified licensure requirement if the department determines that strict compliance with the licensure requirement is not necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare in light of the health care provided by or in the hospital. An application for a waiver under this section shall be on a form provided by the department.
