Mich. Comp. Laws § 333.2861: Original marriage license certificates; filing; incorporating information relating to marriages in system of vital statistics.

Sec. 2861.

A local registrar shall file with the state registrar original marriage license certificates, including applications and licenses, in accordance with Act No. 128 of the Public Acts of 1887, as amended, being sections 551.101 to 551.111 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, and Act No. 180 of the Public Acts of 1897, as amended, being sections 551.201 to 551.204 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

The state registrar shall incorporate the information relating to marriages in this state in the system of vital statistics.
