Mich. Comp. Laws § 390.22: Board of regents and visitors; expenses, reimbursement from university fund interest.

Sec. 22.

The regents and visitors of the university shall each receive pay for the actual and necessary expenses incurred by them in the performance of their duties, which shall be paid out of the university interest fund.
