Mich. Comp. Laws § 447.1: Foreign trade zones; definitions.

Sec. 1.

As used in this act:

“Act of congress” means the act of congress approved June 18, 1934, entitled “An act to provide for the establishment, operation and maintenance of foreign trade zones in ports of entry of the United States, to expedite and encourage foreign commerce, and for other purposes”.

“Public corporation” means the state, or any county, township, city or village within the state, or any state or municipal authority or similar organization financed in whole or in part by public funds.

“Private corporation” means any corporation organized pursuant to Act No. 327 of the Public Acts of 1931, as amended, being sections 450.1 to 450.192 of the Compiled Laws of 1948, for the purpose of establishing, operating and maintaining foreign trade zones according to the provisions of this act.
