Mich. Comp. Laws § 51.365: Civil service commission; definitions.

Sec. 15.

As used in this act:

"Commission" means the civil service commission herein created.

"Commissioner" means any one of the 3 commissioners of that commission.

"Appointment" means all means of selection, promotion, appointing or employing any person to hold any office, place or position of employment subject to civil service.
