Mich. Comp. Laws § 54.121: “Surveyor” defined.

Sec. 1.

As used in this act, "surveyor" means any of the following:

A surveyor employed by the government of the United States of America or this state.

A person who is a land surveyor registered in this state.

A person who is under the direct supervision of a person who is a surveyor under subdivision (a) or (b), and carrying on his person sufficient identification as to employer.
