Mich. Comp. Laws § 600.318: Research law clerk; employment; qualifications.

Sec. 318.

Each judge of the court of appeals may employ a research law clerk to assist the judge in connection with the work of his or her office.

A clerk shall be a Michigan resident and a graduate of a law school approved and accredited by the council of legal education of the American bar association.

A clerk shall be employed for a maximum of 5 years.

A clerk shall perform those duties prescribed by the court of appeals.
