Sec. 858.

When it appears reasonable and proper, the probate court may require a party to a proceeding before a hearing to give sufficient security for all costs as may be awarded against that party.

In a contested case, the probate court may award costs to either party to be paid by the other party or out of the estate, as justice and equity requires.
