Mich. Comp. Laws § 600.8825: Acceptance of fee by law enforcement officer prohibited.

Sec. 8825.

A law enforcement officer issuing a citation under this chapter for a state civil infraction shall not accept a fee for issuing the citation.

A law enforcement officer who violates this section is guilty of misconduct in office and subject to removal from office.
