Mo. Rev. Stat. § 221.280: Penalty for failure to receive and keep United States prisoners.

The keeper of every jail aforesaid shall be subject to the same pains and penalties, for any neglect or failure of duty therein, as he would be subject to by the laws of the state for the like neglect or failure in the case of a prisoner committed under the authority of the said laws.
