Mo. Rev. Stat. § 251.200: Governor may assign state office additional duties.

The governor may for the proper fulfillment of the purposes of sections 251.150 to 251.440 make other assignments to the state office relating to planning or community development according to his powers and duties as provided for in Article IV, Section 12 of the Constitution of the State of Missouri and various legislative acts of Congress.
