Mo. Rev. Stat. § 253.140: Department of natural resources to maintain as historical sites all covered wooden bridges donated to the state.

The department of natural resources shall repair and maintain as state historical sites all covered wooden bridges which are acquired through any grant, gift, donation, devise, or bequest to or for the use of the state of Missouri.
