Mo. Rev. Stat. § 260.245: Tax, how levied — limitation — form of ballot.

1. A city or county or combination of cities and counties may levy an annual tax as provided in sections 260.200 to 260.245 only after such tax has been submitted to a vote of the people to be affected thereby and a majority of the voters in each city or county voting thereon have approved same.

2. The question shall be submitted in substantially the following form:

Shall (the city of ______, the county of ______, the city of ______, and county of ______) levy an annual tax not to exceed ten cents on the one hundred dollars assessed valuation to pay for a solid waste management system?
