Mo. Rev. Stat. § 348.262: Department may contract with corporations.

In order to assist the corporation in achieving the objectives identified in section 348.261, the department of economic development may contract with the corporation for activities consistent with the corporation's purpose, as specified in section 348.256. When contracting with the corporation under the provisions of this section, the department of economic development may directly enter into agreements with the corporation and shall not be bound by the provisions of chapter 34.
