Mo. Rev. Stat. § 41.190: Clerical personnel — appointment — compensation.

The adjutant general may assign such additional officers, and employ such clerical, janitorial, messenger, stenographic and technical assistance as may be necessary to the proper conduct of his office. Such officers and employees shall receive salaries in amounts as fixed by the adjutant general, within the limits of appropriations made for such salaries.
