Mo. Rev. Stat. § 51.460: Deputies, assistants — compensation (fourth class counties).

The clerk of the county commission in each county of the fourth class is entitled to employ deputies and assistants and, for the deputies and assistants, shall receive not less than three thousand eight hundred dollars a year.
