Mo. Rev. Stat. § 528.470: Adverse claim to share, how disposed of.

In all cases of adverse claims to any one or more shares, the money arising from sales which belongs to the owner of such share or shares shall be retained by the sheriff of the county, and by him held subject to the future order of the court.
