Mo. Rev. Stat. § 57.320: County may supply automobiles to sheriff and deputies (first class counties).

In all counties of this state of the first class the county commission may provide and supply the sheriff and deputy sheriffs of such county with such number of police cars or automobiles as may be needed for the efficient performance of the duties of such office.
