Mo. Rev. Stat. § 57.475: To investigate certain deputies for circuit court.

Whenever the appointment of deputies and assistants is required by law to be approved by the circuit or associate circuit judges of the City of St. Louis, and an investigation or examination of the applicants is caused to be made by such judges, the sheriff of the city of St. Louis shall conduct the examination or investigation.
