Chapter 87 - Firefighters' Retirement and Relief Systems

A retirement plan under sections 87.120 to 87.370 is intended to be a qualified governmental plan under the provisions of applicable federal law. The benefits and conditions of the plan shall be interpreted and the system shall be operated to ensure that the system meets the federal qualification requirements.
