The month of September each year is hereby designated as "Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Day " in Missouri. Citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appropriate events and activities to raise awareness about PCOS, a common hormonal disorder that causes ovarian cysts, infertility, menstrual irregularity, and obesity in women.
