Mo. Rev. Stat. § 9.368: State legislature remembrance month designated for January.

The month of January each year shall be known as "State Legislator Remembrance Month" in memory of all state legislators who died while in office. Citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appropriate events and activities to recognize those who lost their life while serving in the general assembly.
