The first Saturday of October of each year is hereby designated as "Breast Cancer Awareness Day" in Missouri. The citizens of this state are encouraged to participate in appropriate events and activities to raise awareness and celebrate survivors of breast cancer, the most commonly occurring cancer among women in the United States.
