Mo. Rev. Stat. § 92.850: Deputy sheriff, authority.

Any lawfully appointed deputy sheriff may perform all acts and things herein required to be done by the sheriff, including the conduct of any sales, reports of such sales and the issuance of deeds according to the order of the court, in the name of and with like effect as the sheriff himself might do.
